After termination of BIOFECTOR in 2017, various consortium members joined the SolACE project (Solutions for improving Agroecosystem and Crop Efficiency for water and nutrient use). The H2020 project aims to identify and test novel solutions to ensure optimum crop productivity under combined water and nutrient stress. BIOFECTOR will contribute bio-effector-based strategies to improve drought resistance and nutrient acquisition of crops by targeted combination with mineral fertilizers promoting stress tolerance.
